Size of Pots

I am growing them on 5 gallon buckets...but when I compare them to regular 5 gal planter, the 5 gallon buckets are bigger. So in actuality, the 5 gallon round buckets may be like 7 gallon....any thoughts?

Most of mine are only small 8 inch ones, some are bigger.

Really? That seems kind of small. Don't they get root-bound? Can you get them to grow to a decent size with abundant fruit?

The so called 5 gallon containers are actually about 4 IMO...a 5 gallon bucket is a 5 gallon bucket...

I potted a couple smaller plants in a 8", but I found a Caribbean Red this weekend and had to pot it in a 10" because the root ball was so much bigger than the others, probably 4" across each way.

I'm pretty sure that particular plant will probably do better in the larger pot.
