Slow Tepin

I have done some reading and found that tepins are slow, while others say they grow and produce about the same pace as other pepper plants. Back in Sept. I was able to get 2 Thai and 2 Tepin plants going. I have already sampled the Thai peppers, but the Tepin plants are doing nothing. I cut it down from about 18" to 9" in March because it was just one stem and not branching out at all. I had no more room under my light to let it continue like that. At the rate it is going, I'm not sure if I will ever see fruit on this plant. I have been growing it for about 7 months and not even a single bud. Anyone think I will be able to get some ripe peppers?

your plants looks very similar to mine at this point, its only April, wait until July and fruits will start sprouting out. what's cool about picking the fruit is that the berry falls off its stem leaving the stem looking like a torch.
oh yah, I started my plant last March(09) and the fruit wasn't ready to eat until December.

That's what I'm looking for willard. Guess I'll just have to wait. I'm sure I'll end up sampling the green pods if they take a long time to ripen.
