Hi Guys
First post here, so hopefully i'm doing it all the way it should be done![Icon Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I'm trying to ID these Chillies ... a Chef friend said Rocket Chillies, but after a bit more checking I think they might be something else.
They start Black / Dark Purple then ripen into a bright red.
Generally no bigger than 1cm in length
(there's two plants next to each other - one seems to produce ones 50% longer?)
Definitely up the scale in heat, I'm no expert, less than Ghost but hotter than most.
Have a slight smoky flavour when fresh, more enhanced when dried in baking tray by window.
Plants are currently around 1 metre high ... It's a rented house but I'm assuming they are 3 years old maybe 4.
In height of summer, I'll be picking about 1000 a week!
Bit irrelevant to ID but I've made these into Sauces and Chilli Powder and they are brutal ... 1/4 teaspoon powder for a hot curry / chilli for 4+ people
Hopefully that helped a bit, but here's some photos:
Start Black, then Green Then Red
The two big ones on the left
The tiny ones in all the following photos
Will be very grateful if I can ID what type of Chillies they are, because:
This season, they are just getting going - they're flowering and then producing tiny tiny red fruit?
A couple of mm at most.
Could just be early in the season (we've just started hitting some 27 - 34 C days).
That said, they have been producing a little fr the last month - anywhere between 7 at night and 20 (max) in the day.

1 - Love to know what these are
2 - Any ideas why they're now producing miniscule fruit?
Thanks in advance.
Very glad I found this site - going to enjoy reading up on it all and trying to turn guesswork into something a bit more organised ha ha
Thanks
