Small purple pepper. Need ID!

Hi, I received this pepper from a friend of a friend... heard it was rare but that is pretty much all the info I have. Anyone knows what this could be?

Hard to say for sure, but it looks a lot like Maui Purple Pepper.  Welcome to the forum.

The pods seems smaller than Maui to me, hard to show on the pic but I think these would ripe around 3cm long. It could potentially be a maui. I guess we'll see. Thanks a lot for the help
