Smoothies who makes them ?

Any smoothie makers out there who have some favorite recipes?

Have you ever tried any type of hot peppers in a smoothie ?

What type of machine are you using and how is the texture ?

Right now we are using the Ninja 1200 Ultra Kitchen System and primarily use frozen fruit and almond milk or fruit juice. No yogurt. Sometimes I use milk with a banana smoothie.

Does any liquid go into the smoothie ?

What type of blender ?

Every morning except Sundays (Pancake day)
Oster blender ($60), does the job but leaks sometimes.

Nuts, Coco Nips and fruit are the base. Ive added Thai peppers now and then to it, nice little kick start.

Tad bit of water. But other than that, no liquid.

Old school crappy blender.

We have a nutri ninja but its too smal . Have to get the bigger bucket.

I'm not making them now, but was making green smoothies with organic veggies when possible.  Spinach, carrots, celery, little bit of ginger and little
bit of lemon.  I use a Vitamix blender.  oh, and ice on top of all veggies before blending.

oh, cucumber is good too.

I make a lot of smoothies almost everyday.

Today's breakfast smoothie was:

Homemade Kefir
Maine blueberries ( I picked )
Maine strawberries ( I picked )
Organic banana
Organic flaxseed

I hit it with the magic stick until smooth

Any given day I will change it up with any of the following but always use blueberries:

Baby kale
Spinach
Carrots
Clove of garlic
Homemade sriracha
Maine blackberries ( I picked )
Maine peaches ( I picked )
Maine strawberries ( I picked )
Maine raspberries ( picked )
Organic flaxseed
Organic banana

I've never thought of using allspice, cloves or cinnamon in a smoothie, I like them in a Jamaican jerk sauce through  :)

I have a smoothie just about every morning.  Here is my basic recipe:

Handful of frozen blueberries
Banana
Tight handful of kale
Granola
Flax seed ~ 1 tsp
Chia seed ~ 1 tsp
1 hot pepper [lately I have been alternating between habanero and dragon cayenne]
top it off with almond milk and a little cinnamon.

On occasion if I have oranges, I will put one of them in there as well.

Does anyone make a smoothie they think tastes good? ... and by that I mean, a transitional smoothie ... one that's half-healthy ...

Every half-tasty smoothie I've ever had, doesn't turn out to be all that much healthier than just having chicken breast sandwich ...

The only smoothie I've ever REALLY liked (acai and protein powder) came from a fitness supplies store ... but I mean, that thing was a meal-replacement ...
