It really did. I walked up right in front of the EarthBox, probably less than a foot away from it until I noticed. Luckily, the dude was pretty chill as I heard Black Racer's can be aggressive (although not poisonous). Another pic

Worse I have even seen in Kentucky are copper heads and they mostly just make an adult sick for a time.

 
Copperhead bites are pretty nasty though, they say it feels like magma going through your veins.  I have seen some nasty ones in the hospital and can cause some skin necrosis or losing a limb. 
 
I know I will get some heat from animal lovers but any poisonous snake I see.... DIES!!  The best snakes we have here are King Snakes, they are immune to other snakes venoms and they eat them.

Got some big ole copperhead in these parts!! Always worried about my dogs!

nothing like being out crappie fishing in the float tube and have a copperhead start heading towards you. i think i had a rooster tail coming off the tube that day.
