some wierd but cool looking pepper?

Hi!

So I was at a fruit and veg shop, and I saw a lot of orange peppers, basicly all of them are habanero's,I found this in the basket with all of them,it was the ONLY one that was in the shop.

Could you tell me what it is? And if its a cros, with what is it?

Here are some pics,tnx (:

P.s. Its the huge one next to the normal orange hab I'm talking abwt (:

I suspect it's still just another habanero. From time to time a plant will produce a pod that is not quite like the rest. Consider this: the top pic contains a cayenne type. You can see that most of the pods are fairly straight, or are just somewhat curved:

Now here's a pic of a pod from the same plant (later in the season, and this time ripe):

Out of five plants of the same type, that's the only pod that turned out all twisted up like that.

So yes, the one you have is much larger, and a tad bit more wrinkly than the others, but probably just a normal variation of a hab.

All I can suggest is try it and find out. If it's just a pod variant, most likely the pods that come from the plant will be like most of the pods on the parent plant. If it's a different variety of hab, though, the resulting pods will be like the pod you found.

Consider people (and no, I'm not making a joke here.) I know a woman who is a midget, who married a man of average height. They had children. The children were...... average height, not midgets. Plants aren't all that different from people in this respect.
