So, got the proper ghetto cabinet supplies and everything hooked up.
Only question is just how close to try to get the light. It doesn't feel too hot, but who knows after it is on for a few hours.
You should be fine with it that close. Those CFL's don't get hot. I put a infrared thermometer at the top of my reflector just now and it only read 92 degrees. I believe I have a slightly larger bulb than you are running. Make sure you get some air moving in there though.
got the fan in there now. the cabinet is by no means air tight, there are gaps at the edges of the doors so there is a bit of fresh air getting in there.
