If you're into SPAM, you should try it out with some Mac & Cheese: Fry the SPAM up nice and crispy, thinly sliced, and seasoned how you want. Stick it in the side of the bowl with your mac & cheese. It's pretty banging, simple, and hearty. Although, anyone notice the SPAM brand has gotten kind of pricey lately: $3.50 for a can? Yikes...
Also, sardines are my jam! I like the plain smoked and the mustard. The ones in "hot sauce" don't really do it for me, not a great hot sauce. I'll add my own stuff to it if I'm inclined.
Sardines are actually VERY healthy for you: Really low in the food chain so not much mercury build-up (even in farmed ones), lots of protein, calcium (bones), and omega fatty-acids. Plus, they're fairly cheap! Can't afford to eat wild-caught salmon every night, but with sardines, that's a different story!
