Spicegeist 2014 - The Year of the Bhut

This year I'm growing primarily bhut/naga types.
 
Not much to look at now, but thought I'd kick things off since I'm already starting seeds:

Looks like some tasty pods in your near future Charles! How long you think separates flowers and fruits?

 
I'm not sure... a month?  Just a guess...

CAP 501 X Donne sali F1, current status. Growing slow but better. Hope to see this one produce.



Oh and I found this the other day. New pods forming are looking kinda bumpy which is a BIG plus and definitely a winner. Once seeds are available I'm sowing them right away to start F3.

Chiletepin is far too relaxed... gonna produce mild, watery pods. Got to stress it out a little. Maybe some death metal?
 
Everything is looking great Charles. My yellow bhut from you is putting out buds now... going to count the days till pods. I am very excited for this pepper.

Great... the yellow bhut I gave you is an excellent pepper... if it grows true the pods will be large and gnarly!

I potted up a few plants today and took a few pics as well.
 
The plant in the foreground is in a 1-gallon pot, the two in the back are Naga King on the left and Onion Bhut on the right:

The Naga King from South Africa is also putting out pale pods (no pics).

Thanks guys.  Looking back at the pics today reminds me of years past... I can't wait until it's hot and humid again.  Our temps are still fluctuating, not quite hot yet...
