seeds Sprouting seeds in aluminum trays

Aluminum oxides are nasty for plants and atmosphere has enough stuff in it to make alum oxides over time.

I wouldn't use alum trays for plants.

Not as big as the alum trays maybe, but I'm trying some group planting by reusing deli chicken take-out containers. You know, the ones with a black base and a clear domed lid. the even have some vent holes.
Mmmmm... chicken.

caroltlw,

That's pretty much what I've been using, though mine don't have vent holes. I keep the plastic top on until the seeds germinate. If nothing else, I can always use two trays.
