Stabilizing the CPR

Well, this is rather disappointing; the small CPR plant pods are red:

But the pods are good size and, while not the classic Primo/Reaper shape, quite wrinkly and have great shoulders.

I believe this will be my overwinter plant.
Beautiful pods you have there!

I'll get pics up of mine tonight or tomorrow.  So far they are pretty small as the pods starting growing when the sun hid for 3 weeks straight.  The new ones seems to be getting bigger with the nice weather we've been having.  SO far I have a few isolated pods too!

For months, I have been wondering what crossed with Frank's CPR...tonight, I figured it out! I haven't looked at the plant in a while and tonight I noticed an unusual looking new pod growing.

I thought to myself, "that's an unusual calyx for a CPR"...this one had fallen off.

I looked at some ripe pods that had been sitting on the plant for a while...

Case closed! This is a chocolate bbg7 x CPR. Should I grow a few of these seeds out to F2? I think I shall!

Lovin' this one, Brandon! A definite keeper!

Mustard CPR now...very nice!

When I first started this thread, I was really excited about it.  Now, I know I won't be growing this one again...it's just not what I was after.  The chocolate primo has pushed the CPR out of title contention in my books as it is the most nasty looking/burning pepper I have ever tried.  Just straight up pain!  And the spikes - it's unreal.

I have had a few requests for these seeds and I will send them out but no seed train for it I'm afraid.  It's just too unstable at the moment to be depended on.  Thanks everyone for participating

Needless to say I won't be saving seeds from this one. I'm not a fan of mustard pods.
