I'm going to start quite a few seeds some of which have already grown into seedlings. i know its really late into season but I have read up on the Peppers and what i found claims that chili plants are not photo sensitive. I have grown peppers in the past and they never freeze over here in AZ through the winter but not quite sure how a young plant will react. Has any one ever Grown in Arizona before? and does this method work? Thanks for the Advice ladies and gentlemen.

We still have about 3 months growing time which may be enough time for your seedlings to mature enough (depending what they are). Mine go dormant and loose their leaves in Dec, Jan, and Feb and start to come back to life in March. I grow mine in pots so I used to bring them in the house on potentially freezing nights and frosty mornings. Now i have too many - On cold nights I water them (creates more root energy/heat) and use those old school Christmas lights with the tapered candlelight bulb that gives off heat (i found them at Ace) in the pots and frost cloths to cover the plants. If you are planting in the ground I have seen people put plastic domes over them. The younger ones and certain kinds that don't tolerate cold well will need to be well protected. I say this is usually the case - Feb 2011 was especially unkind.
thanks for the advice I'm growing a few peters a crown and a Hungarian wax, and a bhut jolokia that im trying to revive.
