I just made my first batch and it came out pretty good. I have a 3 gallon fermentor and it seems like it will do the job. I really want to make a fruit based pepper brew. Any ideas from ther experts?
Make sure that whatever you throw in you boil for a while to get out any wild yeasts.. but you can pretty much throw anything into the fermenter with your wort/wash, even a dead rat if that's your thing.
I have made some "perry wine" (pears) with just pears boiled up/water/dextrose and chapaigne yeast (available at any brew shop) And I can tell you it was very drinkable.
