Stem Dying Just Before Pepper is Ripe

Hey Guys,

I have a nice big Yellow Bhut plant with 30+ peppers on it, however as they begin to ripen the stems seems to be turning black and shrivled up.

Anyone have any idea what is causing this as it is causing me to remove the peppers prior to being fully ripe.

Thanks,

What nutrients are you giving the plant and have you had a soil analysis done?

BTW - that is the peduncle, not a stem. When I read your title, my first thought was a soil fungus, but the stems appear to be quite healthy. Is anything else going on with it at all?

ummmmm....

I don't know the random bag of nutes my dad gave me a few years back lol.....

And no I haven't, I don't even know where i would start to get an analysis done.
