Store-bought Tomato

I was organizing pics earlier and found these. I probably took them in June or so, before my tomatoes in the garden were ripe. I've never grown one that did this, in fact, I've never bought one like this.

Kinda makes you wonder how those store-bought veggies are developed/grown. By the way, what does "GMO" stand for anyway?

The thing that bothers me the most is the formation of Anthocyanin. weird.
