sun sunscald - whole pod done for?

I noticed a softspot on m bell pepper today... the only part of this particular pod completely exposed to sun is a lighter colour and soft.

Should I just cut the pod off and let the plant try and ripen the rest or do I leave it alone?

Thanks!

Sounds like Blossom End Rot to me. Definitely pick the pod off(takes stress off the plant) and consume what's edible on the pod. BER can be caused by a lot of things, but over and irregular watering is most common. Usually it goes away on it's own. But Google it anyway and get more info.

Sunscald will likely ruin the whole pod unless you pick/eat it soon, just cut off the affected areas but check inside the pod for damage too.

I have had BER before and this is doesn't look like it. It's a slight blemish that is soft to the touch on the upper side of the pod that is exposed to the sun (top most pod, no leaf protection on this spot).

It's totally green so I'll snip it off and compost it.

Thanks!
