pod Supposed to be Trinidad Sweet but certainly is not!

I traded someone on a tomato forum last year, tomato seeds for pepper seeds.  The seeds for this pepper were labelled Trinidad Sweet.  Yeah, so something went wrong!  The plant says chinense with nice broad leaves.  The pepper is an incredibly dark brown on the exterior and brick red on the inside and measured 2.5 inches in length.  The juice was dark red, also.  And it's scorching hot (to which my eyelid can attest even with gloves).  My husband ate a few slices and said it was the hottest pepper he has ever had.  Way hotter than a hab and hotter than a 7 pot yellow.  He said there was not much flavor other than hot.  Any ideas?

I would just describe the smell as burning.  I'm not the best with hot pepper descriptors  .  My sister in law came over to try a piece.  She said it reminded her of a chipotle without the heavy smoked flavor that she can't stand.  She and my husband both caught a slight fruitiness, also, along with the scorching heat.  My husband said it wasn't quite as hot after being in the fridge all day but both of them agreed it was the hottest pepper either of them had ever eaten.  He couldn't get the oils off his hands and continued to taste the pepper and feel the heat with any hand-held food like chips.  Some of the oil made it through my gloves and ended up on my right eyelid.  I knew we were in for a rough time when I found the pepper on the plant.  It looked vicious.

Here's a shot of the plant:
