chinense Sweet Scorpion From Ignite

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dc0Wh81dtWE

This is the Sweet Scorpion from The Pepper Geek, also know as ignite on The Hot Pepper. This pepper is very sweet and has a mild Scorpion flavor with just a tiny bit of heat at the tail end of it. I think this would be a great pepper to try out for someone that wants to know what the super hot version might taste like, without all the heat.
I have been snacking on these peppers since I first tried them. Might be on my grow list next season.
You can find The Pepper Geek at the locations I listed below.

How hot are these relative to jalapeno? I'm wondering if I should include these on next year's grow for other people's use.

I don't think they were as hot as a Jalapeno. I didn't get any heat until after the pepper was completely gone, then it was very mild. Some people have recorded them as being somewhere between Jalapeno and a habanero but this wasn't anywhere near that level. I think anyone can enjoy this pepper.

Thanks again for the review James!  I really like the scorpion sweet and would agree that it has a good flavor without the heat.  My daughter will snack on these while helping me pick peppers.  I have had a couple that were in the jalapeno range, but the plant is pretty consistent with a heat level just below that.  It's an incredible plant that is high yielding while being short and bushy.

Thanks!
Stephen

Okay, they're on my list for next year/experiment in the fall.

Nice review. What's the source of these seeds?
I'm growing Trinidad Scorpion Sweet from JAG iso seeds and it's hotter than jalapeno, i would say about low end habanero level with slow building heat and great flavor.
An excellent variety for sure.

I bought these seeds from HellHotPeppers along with Trinidad Perfume seeds. I didn't grow out the Perfume this year. If you have a different source seeds, please PM me. I would like to try from a different source next year if possible.

Thanks,
Stephen
