The house sitters left a whole white cake in all its glory in the fridge.

They also restocked the pantry with some other goodies too.

They were alright. a couple of the chilis I wanted to overwinter wound up dying. At least the animals are alright though

Nah Chelsea planned the whole trip. She found a family that has some sort of house sitting business. They travel all over the country and essentially live in people's Houses while the owners are away on vacation, active service...etc. the husband is a web designer so all they really need is the Internet to supplement their income. They housesat free of charge. It was a win win for everyone. I was very hesitant at first but warmed up to the idea after meeting them.

Now we're planning on going to Norway next year and hopefully this same family can come back.

Basically what Airbnb does as a service but the people won't watch pets etc. and they pay. You also had a kitchenette so wondered if you used them for staying.

I still sort of feel that way. If it were up to me I would just have grandmother come stay while we were gone....but alas...I'm married.
