T5ho Brand opinions wanted

Just looking for opinions on T5HO fixtures, I'm planning on buying two or three four footers for next year so I can start earily, I would like to hear what you guys/girls are using and recommend, the only thing I am set on is independant reflectors for each bulb since I'm a reefer "Saltwater Aquariums" I have learned without IDR you loose a alot of light to me it's worth the extra $$$ for the benefit when it comes to reefs I imagine the same goes for plants.

Thanks
Eric

I use 2 4' per shelf or 4 tubes per level el cheapo from home depot. for the last 10 years change tubes every other year. works great for me not growing cash crop just peppers and tomato's

I have a 6 bulb Hydrofarm T5 unit that works OK. I also have a 400 watt metal halide. My plants seem to do much better under the metal halide and I can cover a larger area with it. The only benefit for me with the T5 is less heat.

T5 is a fluorescent light and, after a year of operation, either MH or HPS would cost less to buy/operate and make better chiles.

So they lose power over time is what your saying? Or the efficiency of the hps/mh in producing more chiles makes it more cost effective over the year? Just curious I use both and do see faster growth with the mh in veg and hps in bloom, just always thought I was getting more power savings from t5s...I like the Sol Lighting T5s are just as good as the hydrofarm and other major brands, and they are made in the USA.
