Hi,
I recently purchased a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2, and have taken my first burn-myself video. I promptly registered for a YouTube account so I could upload it. However, this hasn't been successful yet. The video is less than 200 Meg (well within the 2 Gig limit by YouTube), so file size alone is clearly not an issue. I used the MPEG format, which the manual indicates is optimal for videos on the computer/web, and made a point to use the lowest quality settings, but otherwise used the auto features. The camera came with software, which they indicate must be used to upload to YouTube, or the video reportedly will not play, so I have been using that. So far every attempt to upload has failed. I even tried taking a second video using the AVCHD-Lite version, and that didn't work, either. (I didn't think that would work, but there was a little something mentioned in one of the instruction manuals that made me think it was worth giving it a try.)
I will note that I have McAfee on that computer, and did select to have it allow the software to connect to the internet, so that should not be a problem, in theory. That computer is a Dell D820, running Windows XP. I'm working on my Mac now, and could feasibly upload the software to it, and give it a whirl from there, but given the amount of time I've already spent on the other, I'm thinking I'd like some input before fiddle-farting around with it any more. (Is that a word?!?)
So I'm not sure if the problem is the way I took the video, or something with McAfee, or something with YouTube (and all clearly related to my lack of experience!) I'd appreciate any input from you veterans of posting vids to YouTube, especially if you have a camera similar to mine.
