Much like our forecast for the coming week.  This kind of weather really brings a smile to a gardeners face!

Yeah Baby! Overnight lows in the mid-60s is ideal! Especially nice pic of the Goat's Weed flower and stem.
First time growing them. They look completely different than most of the other varieties.

Yes. This is what makes it worth all the hard work.

Great pics.

Temps looking good. Wish it would cool off here.

Man I wish our temps looked like that right now. It's been 95+ here for about 2 weeks now. We're finally supposed to get some 80's this week.

The summer weather is being very kind to your
grow, Terry; awesome podding and beautiful
Plants! Keep up the fine effort!
Thanks guys. We are supposed to get some rain tonight, but this is ideal weather. One thing I have to change is my drip setup. I am growing tomatoes in 10 gallon root pouches and their water needs are very different than the peppers. Canned two quarts of pickles, one hot and one not. Farmers Jalapeno and a Mystery Wine pod.

Very nice pics!

Congrats on the weather! Those temps have passed us by and we won't see them until September 15th or later. I'll be ready! ;)

Although Saturday, we land in Long Island, I sure hope those temps are the same there! We usually go for the 4th, to a state that outlawed fireworks. But the best shows are from LB's sisters house where they shoot off the $300 mortars all night long. Here they're legal, and we have crappy fireworks. Gotta love it ;)

Keep doing what you're doing, cuz I'm loving it!

Hopefully these pictures are not boring you guys/gals to death. The garden seems to be changing nightly.

Mystery Citrus....if you zoom in you can see a bunch of pea sized pods.

Love seeing these on the plants.

A zinnia that my daughter started in school. She brought it home because she knew I would plant it for her. She has shown an interest in gardening, just not getting her hands dirty. That is my job.

Great looking plants! And it's nice to see you already have some stuff to pickle. I should have a heap of okra to can when I get back in town in a week.

Looking good brother. I told you no worries on the pubes :) have you tried one yet? Also looking forward to your feedback on the taste and heat level of my hot rod Serrano x chocolate bubblegum. Cheers

Ps GM should be stoked the mystery citrus looks awesome.

What Rocoto is ripening?
That is either the San Isidro or the Lima Market. I will verify when I get home. It is my first time growing both.

Thank you. I try to process as much as I am able too. Sometimes it just gets too much and by the end of the season I am tired of it all.

I have not picked any pods yet. This weekend I will. I will sample the cross and I have a beautiful yellow manzano pod that will be ready.

D3's Lemon drop x Inca berry cross

That sounds interesting - how's the taste and heat?

I've been growing Mike Hess's Tepin x Lemon Drop for several generations.  The Lemon Drop gets around, doesn't he?

Nice, be sure to report back on taste and what not. Don't be afraid to hate it I wont be offended. There's plenty of other crosses. Depending on how the f2's taste I might just abandon it if it's not well received. It def has that nipple from the inca berries but more elongated.

How's mystery wine? My pods are still a long ways off from ripening.

I had the powder, was pretty hot. Hard to judge how a fresh pod would taste though.
A pod review from me is useless. I am terrible at describing flavors. I did have that pepper last night, but it was the last one I ate. I will be posting up in your x thread this weekend when I have another. A big disclaimer in that I am not a fan of fresh pods, it takes awhile till I can pickle, powder or make a sauce to decide If I really like a pod.

I will do a better review this weekend, but it was thin walled like a lemon drop and was reminiscent of a lemon drop flavor. The heat was hard to guage, because my mouth was still absorbing the heat from a different pepper.
