Was given these from a friend at work which he says he got the seeds from his sons wifes father?idk but anyways he says they are tepin but from all ive ever had were dry and definitely pea size these seem a little big or?

Yes, these are Tepins. You may see pictures of other Tepins that look different. Tepin is a generic term for a small bird pepper and there are different varieties.
yep i have a nice tepin that produces hundreds of peppers just like that, its going on its third year its growing in a large pot that has some cactus growing next to it. its different from other tepins I have grown as all the small peppers hang down below the canopy of leaves all my other wild peppers point upwards .
