I have found a new favorite flower of all time...one that I will grow every year until the day I die...it is the most beautiful flower I have ever seen...very simplistic in itsvery nature...compare the size of the flower to Roscoe's head....it is huge...

That plant has some nice leaves as well; remind me of something, I just can't remember what ATM.

I had some hibiscus last year - they grew tall - nearly 10' and that was in Ohio! Mine had white flowers though instead of pink. One of them (Tainung 2 cultivar) had the same type of leaves - fooled a few people at the County Fair!

quite similar to a flower that's regularly found here:

the Gumamela, Philippine Hibiscus

pronounced as goo mah meh luh


as a child i used to pick off the flowers to make a mixture for blowing bubbles.

we mix it with soap, water and the mashed bits flower and some leaves.

then I make a loop out of a stem of a palm tree and tie it off

hehe.
