thai pods stopped growing?

I have a little ~1.5 feet tall thai plant that has about 40 small pods on it only about probably 1/3 inch long. It's a plant I got from Lowe's, just labeled as "thai hot". Judging from the picture on that marker that came with it, the pods should be much longer, I would guess at least an inch or more long. They've stayed this size and stayed green for several weeks. The pods are like pequin sized...

Anyone sure what could be up with these pods being so small and not maturing?

Is it a Bonnie brand? That's how they grow. Hot, but all seeds on the inside and sub-par flavor. Nice for an ornamental or if you have almost no room. A real Thai prig kee nuu is much better.

Yeah, I checked and it is a Bonnie. I tasted a couple pods, and they actually taste pretty decent to me, they're just really small. Smaller than I expected judging from the picture. And the pods are all seeds like you said. Oh well, I'll pick up a better thai variety next year.
