Just read online that in Britain, a man dropped a bottle of Cognac from 1788, valued at over $77,000, on the floor, causing it to shatter all over the restaurant floor. Individual glasses from it cost over $7,800. The manager of the restaurant quipped that he now has the most expensive bar floor in the world, and the gentleman who dropped it was sufficiently wealthy that he was able to cover the cost of the cognac.

Even if I could afford it, I would never spend $7,800 on a single glass of cognac. I don't care how old it is or if it will make my doodoo smell like roses. That's a waste of money.

Same here.

Don't get me wrong. I like a good whiskey, scotch, cognac, rum, vodka, gin, or whatever else on occasion. I'm just not willing to spend several grand on a single glass.
