My friends, I am back from my self-imposed social network ban.This year I am very happy to say I will be focusing the majority of my 50-54 plants to seeds received in a seed swap with my friend Dave,"lobo."Virgin plants, to what we have been growing Stateside demand that I do all I can to see what the black gold dirt of Iowa will do for his seed stock..I see Monsters on the horizon. :dance: Today you get my list and a couple seed starter pics,Its great to be back.Good Luck to all of you in your lives as well as your gardens.

Today the first seeds are 4 weeks old
Out of 53 varieties planted only 2,(jpgs mutant and a bbg,)never popped.I am convinced in my situation that planting in cups will be my starting medium from now on.I truly believe temp and moisture control is the top priority along with the fresh seed.I don't have to babysit the cups like I would baggies,pellets or rock wool.Grab a started plant pop in under my grow table lights and off to work I go at 5;15 in the morning;

I too started my plants in what normally would have been the step one transplant medium/pot. I used 3.5" squares. It really made for a no nonsense early grow. They came up in a nice wet pot and when they got light I bottom watered. Done!

I like showing off how great our started plants are compared to the local grocery.I take a big box of my not-so hots into the factory the first week of May.Hand them to the group knowing 1/2 of the plants were going to die from neglect. :sick:

  You and I had a hell of a time getting things going last year.The 4-inch pots in a styrofoam cooler with a temperature thermostat sensor were the key for me.And the seeds were fairly fresh.I always get those pellets to damn wet by the time its all said and done.And I did not have time to fiddle with 53 baggies before I leave the house to work

Chuck I am looking for nooks and crannies around my house to put a couple temp T8 fixtures for my overdoing it."AGAIN" lol. :shh:
 
Worked the 4's into 6 inch pots and moved them back into my daughter's closet since she got herself a rental.

Work station goes good after doing this a couple years

On a side note went into local 5 and dime store,came out jumped into Grand Prix put key in and it would not start.WRONG damn car. What's the chances somebody comes in after you in a town of 400 and not only has the same make car but the inside was as cluttered
