You have some great gnarly pods Randy ... good to see the up cycling someone else who plants in old tyres ... first saw this in Andy's (Pulpiteer) chilli patch. Great idea for a raised bed and your plant looks to have settled in nicely
In the early days of this town, everyone had a septic tank. That old tire was here when I moved in and I was to lazy to remove it.

It was one of the top 3 concerts I have ever seen and I have seen over 100.26 songs from Queen no opening band.

They're not as big as the beauties you sent me last year but oh jeez they are so delicious. I hope I get so many I can't eat all of them from my four plants because these YNBS pods will make pepper powder to die for.

Oh yeah, I ate one of the Douglahs. Killer hot and super delicious.

Bet that Douglah hurt.lol

Hey Randy, have you seen this before? Looks like I got me a Orange Naga Brain Strain plant. How cool is that?

:
Edit:

The plants, flowers and pods look identical until one turns yellow and the other turns orange. The walls and insides, seeds, placenta and oils look identical too.

I've been doing the comparison taste test for a while now. They even taste exactly the same until the heat bomb goes off. The orange pod is much³ hotter than the yellow. Exponentially hotter. A barn burner. Extremely great situation here. Now I have two peppers I adore. One in regular and the other in ultra high octane.

I have two more YNBS plants that still haven't committed to their final ripening colors. This will be interesting.

Randy, I'm not so smart about crosses and hybrids but it seems like something very interesting got up into the Yellow Naga Brain Strain flower that made the seed I planted to come up with this screamer.

Until the pods start ripening to orange, there's no way to tell any difference between any of my four plants grown from your YNBS pods. One thing I do know is this Orange Naga Brain Strain is beastly hot. When doing the taste testing and heat comparison between the orange and the yellow last night, it didn't require a very big slice to make me hit the sour cream right quick.

I'll definitely be saving seeds from this puppy. I'm gonna try to get some pure seed grown in isolation. I started that project this morning.

Very wicked pods, Randy.

Naganero sounds interesting

Congrats on all the pods.
Thanks Chuck.I have not been in the garden much this week.105+ heat index after I spent 10 hrs in the plant had me seeking AC.The Naganero is from Dave in the Czech Republic. They are very cool.

I think this is the pod that bread your seed. The yellow were surrounded by douglahs and white habs. The plant beside the first YNB was a red7 xx choco bhut

That's making some sense Randy. I'm assuming a red7 xx choco bhut is one hot papa? Too bad you didn't overwinter him. You could tell him he helped spring a really weird kid in LA (Lower Alabama)

I'm getting a bit different view of my oddpods now. I pulled the first one off quickly because I'm impatient. I've left the others on the plant to see what they do. They went way past that deep orangey not quite red color and are turning to a burgundy color. Still maintaining the YNBS shape.
