The DWC difference

Plants germinated about a week from eachother, they are side by side under the same LED lighting, the one in the cup is in MG seed starter and watered with tap water from our well, the DWC gets rain/snow water and appropriate nutes.

The DWC is half as tall and 5x as wide, the one in dirt is much taller and less bushy with a thicker stem. Interesting....

Another good comparison would be if you compared a 5 gallon DWC with a 5 gallon soil. The DWC above has more root space to branch out. I'm thinking the red cup could be root bound and could have been bigger if it had more root space.

The main reason for the comparison is the one in the cup is much much taller than the one in the bucket. It's like the DWC is growing out and not up.
