I was bottling up some sauce today. My bottles go into an oven for 10 minutes at 100 deg C and I bottled at 80 to 90 deg C. They are then sealed tight and inverted.
When I inverted my bottles to help the sealing I noticed when they were turned back up. That some of the plastic lids have changed shape, it's almost as if the heat has caused them to expand. Not a big drama I has spare lids just never had it happen before.
The bottles are the 150ml sauce type, what should I have done different. I don't normally invert these type of bottles, but then again I normally make small amounts for personal use.
