The Mako Kokoo from Ghana

Another incredible Landrace pepper from Ghana in West Africa. This one is also from Joe Delaney, who is really bringing West African peppers to the attention of pepper lovers everywhere!

Wonderful pepper, just all around wonderful. The initial flavor is very sweet and fruity, but with a very nutty aspect and undercurrent of C,chinense-flavour. They overall flavor is very rich with a great mouthfeel. The longer you chew, the sweetness does fade, but the nutty richness is accentuated. They taste like no other pepper I`ve ever had. Delicious!

The heat is cayenne to double cayenne levels, but this one is all about great flavour. The heat is just a bonus!

The taste sounds amazing. I love sweet, hot peppers. Happy New Year Nigel, and great review as always! I never get sick of em!

Good job Nigel.  They are a nice pepper.  I got to enjoy a couple thanks to a generous gift box from SanPatricio last summer.
