This Hab plant is a machine!

Overwintering about 8 plants this year under flourescents and in pots.

My Orange hab that I cut back actually seems to be thriving! If all goes well it is going to be a huge shrub by next fall. I cut it way back and it is absolutely covered in new growth. I can't wait til next spring!:)

The plant I rescued before the freeze still has about 20 pods on it, all but one almost completely ripe. In another day or two, I'll finish trimming it, but the parts I already trimmed are - like yours - doing great. I could have peppers by April Fools Day.

BTW, bringing that plant in produced right at 100 peppers, most a decent size.

Indeed, as proud as a father who's son just won the little league big game! I have grand visions of this plant hitting a grand slam in the big leagues this summer in my garden!lol

Orange habs are my pod of choice in our rangeofsauce. Hot and tasty.
They grow like weeds up here.
Nice looking plant

Hey Cheezy -- thats about how far back I cut my Piquin back too and I thought it wasnt enough but I figured what the hell and give it a go. I have lots of new growth buds and growth in just a partly sunny window. Hope to have them under flourescents soon --- that Hab is a beast....

Are going to try hydro this winter?

Lol, you remembered. No Hydro this winter. A new baby and an unexpected change of career froze the discretionary fund for now.

We will see. If just cutting back and overwintering goes well I probably won't do the hydro after all. I am a firm believer that anything that did well in a pot or a cup would have been two to three times bigger out in the garden.

Still wanna try myself --- just a little coercing to the funds holder is all I need to do but something about "Christmas" is putting a damper on it... apparently she doesnt see the importance of the whole idea
