This is NOT a Jays peach right? Or is it?

This one has been racking my brain all season. I can't figure out what it is. It was labeled as a jays peach ghost Scorpion, but it doesn't look right to me. I was thinking peach bhut, but even that doesn't seem right. Can anyone help?

Funny thing is, ripe peaches get that color, the unripe supermarket ones are the ones we call peach color.

Mine came directly from the source and EVERY single one has a tail. I also have peach ghost from Jim and they look more like the above but peach. 

 
Don't get me wrong.  I do think the phenotype that you displayed is the most correct.  Here is the thing, Mr. Duffy's site said the seeds he had were from fifth generation.  I suspect the seed stock you started with was further down the line.  At a time when the creator landed on that shape.  So since yours look like the creators, it is the most appropriate phenotype.  But what about the other phenotypes?  Lets look at Chocolate Bhutlah SM.

Seeds were officially released for this season.  Photos folk have shared show two distinctly different phenotype.  Folk will selectively seed save for the phenotype they think is most accurate.  The seed stock will wind up in seed trains, traded and what not.  Meanwhile, back at Puckerbutt, they will be doing the same to get a stable shape.  At some point, they will have a stable appearance and that phenotype will be most accurate.

Ah but what about the other shape?  People purchased it from the developers as Chocolate Bhutlah SM.  Are those peppers no longer Chocolate Bhutlah SM?  See what I mean? 

Think on things like the elongated chocolate bubblegum.  Is it a chocolate bubblegum?  Or the large red bubblegum that I think Pepper Lover developed.  I forget if she put her initials behind it but remember she sells them.   Is it not a bubblegum?

BTW: Not arguing with you at all.  Love your posts.  Very much liking this conversation.  Just trying to demonstrate that different phenotype by the same name do exist.  Heck, look at how many people were like Ye that looks right.  I think the best thing for seed folk to do is to photograph the source of their seeds so the buyer knows what they are getting.  Oh, and try their best to present accurate information.

That last part being why I love conversations like this.  So much for me to learn.

I am not sure which generation of Jay's I had for peach but I was the first to post the red and peach to this site many years ago. Since they are not far from me in distance a local nursery sells their plants. 
 
I cut down the number of species this year by a good 30%, very bored with all the new stuff and fly by night naming.

I forget who was saying it, but he was saying that there are no stable super hots.  Not sure I would go that far but I think he was saying about what you are.  On naming: I've always thought the naming convention was that if you create a hybrid, you call it by the lineage until it is stable.  Then, once stable you can give it a name.

Example:
7 Pot Douglah x Bhut till after it is stable, then call it Chocolate Bhutlah.

But I do have to admit that I enjoy the challenge of sorting DNA.  For me it is part of the fun.  Makes me feel, I dont know, lke I was part of it.
