pod This is not capela yellow

Hi Folks,
got another one which I'm trying to ID, but it's from a respectable online company this time, not from the local hobby grower. Looks like a seed just crept into the wrong packet 🤔.
It's supposed to be capela yellow, but from what I've read, they are small and have a good deal of heat. The largest of these pods was around 4 inches long and 2 inches wide at the stem.
Since they hadn't changed size or appearance in over 2 months leading me to believe they were fully ripe, I tried one about 6 weeks ago and discovered that the taste was rather bland with not much heat at all. With nothing to lose, I just left the rest of them on the plant to see what happens.
Now, over 4 months after they first appeared, one of them is taking on a kind of orangey hue. Since I want to wait and see how it ends up, I have no idea whether the taste has changed significantly. Just wondered if anyone out there recognises the pods in the meantime.

Two weeks on, and this is what the pod looks like now. Everything else on the plant was still yellow, and we're getting pretty close to first frost, so I decided to bring the plant indoors and remove all the other fruits in the hope that this one will fully ripen. Don't know yet whether it will stay orange, or maybe turn red eventually - time will tell. Any ideas in the meantime as to what it might be?

Here you can buy them under the name "Santa Fe" and they're usually bigger than the average Jalapeno but I've also seen some that are more stubby.
After checking out some pics online, and seeing what a variety of Guero/Santa Fe there is out there, I reckon you may be onto something, GS. Most of my pods sure look pretty similar to the ones in the link, and they do ripen to orange and red.
What makes me wonder, is that the yellow one which I ate didn't have much heat or taste. Maybe it was just too immature. I'll have to eat one of the pods I just photographed and get back to you 😉 .

Update. The flesh on its own tastes rather like an unripe bell pepper, and even if you eat the whole thing, there's no real heat to speak of - even for a relative noob like me.
I'll leave the orange pod on to ripen as long as I reasonably can, then decide after tasting it whether I want to try and overwinter the plant.
Maybe I'd just be flogging a dead horse, and it's some kind of mutt that shouldn't have been allowed to survive in the first place 🤔 :deadhorse:.

So, you guys made me look this "Guero" pepper up, and I see BOTH phenos out there. I think "guero" means pale, or blonde. I'm wondering if it is more of a generic descriptor? Anyway, Pati Jinich calls it a banana pepper, so I'm going with that, lol. I love Pati Jinich. 😍

I think "guero" means pale, or blonde.

In MX parlance, güero is the equivalent of "white" (Caucasian), differentiated from africano (Black), moreno (mestizo, what you'd probably call Latin/Hispanic), and indio (native). Güer@ is very often used a nickname (generally not considered insulting) and also a general descriptive term, as for chile güero or chayote güero:

In Chiapas, there is also a chile blanco, which is not the same as a chile güero ☺️
