THP Rating System...YAY or BOOOOO?

Hey ya'll. After some thought over the use of the Hot, Blue, and Righteous rating, I have begun pondering on whether or not to have a more significant and specific system of rating pics of food items presented here on THP. Heretofore, the HB & R rating was my own personal top rating recognizing all 'thangs hot and spicy. Some others here on THP have also adopted the HB & R and used it for good effect. I am wondering if we should adopt a universal rating system. As an example.....

With 5 being the highest rating..

5. Hot Blue & Righteous.
4. Sex on a plate!
3. Gimme' 'dat!
2. I am hot-curious.
1. It'll make a turd.

To be sure, this is only an example.

Soooo....answer these two questions.

1. Should THP adopt a universal system for rating photo's of hot sauce, chiles, and food presentations?

2. What would YOU use as YOUR rating system?

Keep in mind that the use of HB & R need not be used at all. Come up with your own!

I like it except for the last one...you know, we would never say anything bad about somebody elses cookin'...we just wasn't raised that way now were we?....how about' "It's fittin'" for number 1.

YES I DID!! :rofl: TB, I love your scale (with the possible exception of hot-curious...I'm not touching that one EVAR!) I just feel....unless we submit to a voting format that everyone's comments be as individual as the person giving them. Like...I use AWESOME a LOT! (yes...I'm a child of the 70's/80's)

You keep on dishing them out as you see fit, my friend. The phrases you use just wouldn't be the same if everyone used them ALL THE TIME.

2. not sure... your list looks pretty good as it is. My head hurts too much to come up with any contribute-able ideas

Point well taken. Myself, I'm not wild about the "hot-curious" designation either. It was just a suggestion to provoke some ideas.

What I mean is....if we ALL use HB&R....it ceases to be a TB thing! I kinda like the unique comments....especially when the submissions are all random and quite spontaneous.....

...so should the feedback, methinks!!

5. Hot blue and righteous!
4. Sex on a plate!
3. Gimme' 'dat 'thang!
2. Where 'da napkins?
1. I'll try 'dat!
 
For a dish that looks like its lacking ... although to be honest of all the dishes I've seen posted here none of them have... but you could call it a capsicum / bell pepper 'cause its got no heat but its still sweet!
