AJ- I'm not sure I understand the "it's fittin' " phrase, I agree with the "not negative" idea.
I just hope someone doesn't get slammed because of the quality....or lack thereof....of their pictures! I loved those recent pictures of a pot of chili on a two burner stove and the great descriptions that went along with the fuzzy iPhone pics. This rating system will probably be used in posts outside of the Social Forums. It's difficult for a noob to figure out all the slang and abbreviations. Perhaps keep that in mind if the HB&R rating system is adopted. Noobs will be wondering what the HB&R3 is.
Would it actually be a RATING system? I'd be scared to post picks if I though they were gonna get ranked/rated really bad. Is it a general DESCRIPTION system that members can easily use and reference. Isn't part of the fun around here that anyone can post (almost) anything with pics and share? I'd hate to see it get turned into a photo competition and I'd hate to see some Newbie get slammed.
Perhaps just adopt abbreaviations.

Perhaps salsalady has a point. Maybe just have an informal bunch of catch phrases designating favorability. I'd still keep teh HB & R and teh SOAP. The rest maybe just wing it.
