The jalapeno gods smiled upon me this day - fatty daddys!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, this smelled good. Roasting garlic is a pain with the shucking & all, but it's so so so worth it.

Who used bottled lime juice? Not this guy.

Well on the way to 195...

Next up - blending & bottling. Stay tuned! (But gonna have to wait a day or 3 for wax sealing as I'm out of wax. D'oh!)

The flecks of red make the sauce look beautiful. Excellent job!

Thanks!

The dried peppers (cayenne pods in this case) are fun - they don't emulsify into the sauce and serve a few purposes. They add heat, they add flavor & as you mentioned they are pretty. ;)

It's also a different different kind of heat...the dried cayenne bits tend to produce a lingering heat on the mouth as oppossed to the immediate "presentation" heat on the tongue.

Just tasted a sample on my breakfast - an egg sando with hamsteak & Gouda on 9-grain, slathered in the LDHS Green Label

It is freakin delicious if I do say so myself.

I am not selling right now but I love barter. If anyone would like to trade me something interesting (either home-made of locally bought) for a bottle of this batch, I'm totally open to expanding my condiment collection. Send me a PM & maybe we can work something out.

*nothing ridiculously hot, please.

That's a great looking batch of sauce.

Hey thanks SW - it's probably my 90th or so home-brew batch over the last 7 years so hopefully I've got it down by now.

Sure am losing forward to working with my co-packer - my paws were aching something fierce by the time I posted those pics and it's a lot of work at home - I didn't take pics of the work I had to do with the dried pods, the hour+ of prepping the ingredients, mounds of onions to slice, shucking garlic, etc.

Hot blue and righteous LD. Any vinegar in that sauce? You get extra big points for the booze in there too......

Drunken Hot Sauce Making.....could be the next new 'thang!

TB, I thought that was S.O.P......

Great looking sauce LDHS, and that paw stamp on the bottle is pretty cool! I noticed it and was able to peel off the wax on the sides but kept the stamp on the top. I have an idea for using your sauce for tonights dinner. Will keep you posted~

Coolest thing about Lucky Dogs sauce is the stamp on top of the bottle. I love it.

It's my blessing & curse. I started doing it as I have really short hair, thus no hair dryer. To do shrink wrap you need a heat source, pretty sure most use a hair dryer? Yeah. So I thought, "hey, I'll do a wax seal - that'd be cool and fun for friends & family!" - then I found the paw-print on-line and thought, "hey, nifty!"

Now it's everyone's favorite thing about it and I'mma have to find someone to wax seal thousands of bottles when I go into production. Dammit!

Don't get me wrong - I love it and I'll be glad to do it, but I really never intended for the fancy wax seal to carry over into production - now I'm trying to source it. aggh. lol

haha - I've made more than 1 batch drunkenly, but these days I try to hold off until I'm finished.

I'm very picky about my fresh peppers.

Can't wait to get your feedback on the flavor SL!
