health Translucent Leaf spots developing on older leaves of younger plants

Good Day (wherever you may be):
 
I have some relatively young Red Bhuts I purchased from a local (HD) store.  They were in peat pots, soaked to the bone, but looked great.  I transplanted them out of the peat pots into a Miracle Grow potting mix, nothing else, and kept them inside the garage for a few cool days we had down here.  The weather has begun to warm into the mid 80's, and I have not been giving them as much water as I suspect HD had been.  I am seeing new growth in the top and at the lower nodes of older leaves, but the older leaves have been developing some translucent (transparent) spots in the past 2 days.  I see no visible evidence of pests, and have not soaked them with water.  Pictures are attached.
 
Granted they are still "recent transplants:
 
1. Have I shocked them?
 
2. Is the change in temperature and sun too much this soon?
 
3. I cannot imagine a sudden nutrient deficiency this soon, with such a little plant.  I seriously doubt they do much fertilization at HD.(?)
 
4.  Possible fungal deal?  Not showing on any other varieties.  Could treat but reluctant with them still transitioning into the larger pots.

Well, it is Florida.  Maybe shade them for the rest of the afternoon, and just give thme morning sun to acclimate.  Temps went from the 50's-60's to the mid 80's in two days, and it won't get cooler from here on.  Plus the humidity will pick up.
 
Same thing happe a few of my scotch bonnets when I didnt harden them off properly. Not a biggie it wont hurt the new growth
 
It's not looking any better, and actually worse.  I sprayed with daconil for fungus, and pulled some plants into a more shady area.

I'm interested to hear what the outcome of this is as I have some plants doing the same thing..

So far, most of the older infected leaves have yellowed and fallen off.  I am keeping them out of the rain expected Sunday, just keeping the roots moist.  new growth looks to be healthier, but I did have some that just runted off.
 
I see tiny white hard pin sized bumps....that is edema from water logged roots.

Soil should dry out every 3 or 4 days before watering.

Ease up on watering....do not apply any ferts since you just transplanted and the soil has enough goodies in it already.

Plants from home depot should already be hardened off but you could keep them shaded a couple weeks to make sure.


Sprinkle a Tbls of Epsom salt to the top of each pot....don't mix it in. Just let it naturally work it's way in as you water.

Sun scald or sunburn may have happened as well.
Any pics of the whole plants in question?

All the impacted leaves have been removed or fallen off, and new growth looks better.  Yesterday was "graduation day", whereas I transplanted everything into larger pots, with new potting soil.  the previous mixture was retaining too much water.  Avoiding the frog-stranger rain we're supposed to have this afternoon, I think we will be OK.

Yeah, I got a piece of the same storm.  Given the forecast, I was worried the rain would drown all the plants that just hit the dirt.
 
But everything looks like it came through OK.
 
 
Everything seems to have come through OK, and last week was graduation day (transplanting).  More rain coming tomorrow, so will hunker down for that.
