Transplanted to new pot too high (roots showing)

So I repotted one of my birds eye plants. That Im growing indoors, but too high compared to the container. So when I watered it the soil washed away and now quite a few roots are showing and some green stem that was under the soil. Will this be bad? Do I have to redo it?

You can pull the whole thing out and report into a larger pot. Those roots that are showing will also become woody and could make for a great bonchi in the future.

You can if the plant is stable in its pot. It won't really hurt too much. I kind of doubt it's too secure with that amount of roots showing but eh. Seems easy enough to replant it.

In my experince  (not so much with chillis) but lots of other plant types I have had no issue with the roots showing and I also vote you should be ok...but as mentioned if you are concerned a quick repot would fix it in a jiffy!!

Just add some more soil.

Edit: I guess your pot looks pretty full
