event Travel Channel, Wed. 12/14, 9pm, Weekend of Fire footage

Just a heads up. Next Wednesday, December 14th, the Travel Channel will be airing footage from the last Jungle Jims Weekend of Fire event last October, including the National Championship Deathmatch.

sucks i dont have fancy cable, maybe ill be able to catch it on the net. i have to know though whats the death match?

It's a cute little competition we do at many of our events. 10 little cute and cuddly wings in 4 minutes, and then it's hands down, palms down for an additional 5 minutes. It's a simple little 9 minutes of abject painful bliss. If you go to the website, click on videos, we've posted a number of them we've done over the years.

Thanks for the heads up, Creator.

sicman, Defcon failed to mention the sauce on those cute and cuddly wings is :mouthonfire: :onfire: :hell:

Well so much for the hype. Just goes to show you never know what's going to hit the cutting room floor. The entire Weekend of Fire event got a total of about .03 seconds of footage. Such is life.

Well, fwiw, I called the house in a panic to record some cooking show,.... Johnny, .....contest....WTFWazIt?... 10 seconds later, OK, wasn't Chopped, but...... "look for Weekend of Fire!"
I tried. Will try to find an online clip tomorrow

So I didn't find that episode, but I did watch the Hot and Spicy episode. Vindaloo........droool~

if you watched the show, they flashed a picture of some trinidad scorpion peppers, those were mine and I provided them the picture...they actually gave me credit at the end under "Stills"....

was pretty good but they did not mention the TS anywhere I could see...the hottest they talked about was the ghost pepper...

I've recently been asked by people at the travel channel to use some of my Trinidad Scorpion pics for an upcoming episode of Food Paradise. Should be a good episode :fireball:

cool P...am wondering when it will air....did they say?

@JayT...it was a mere flash...but thanks anyway...

I offered to send them some fresh pods for use in the show and the producer said they had already taped it and just wanted a picture of the TS...I hope they make another one

I saw some show called Hot and Spicy Paradise. Didn't see WOF on it though. Maybe I missed it.
You didn't miss anything. They showed two .00001 second clips of the Deathmatch, and that was it, from the entire Weekend of Fire event. Quite surprising actually, as Jungle Jims fully expected to be featured.

mornin' Creator...I betcha they got a lot of money from the folks they featured....

I watched it and was disappointed that they didn't show it (or much of it anyway). And it was making me very mad that the curry house they showed kept calling the bhut jolokia the world's hottest. Although the owner did at the very end say that they just discovered a pepper that is even hotter. He failed to mention the name.

Nevertheless, congrats to Creator and AJ for getting some air time on National TV!

I get pissed when they have a chance to air real chileheads and instead spend another show displaying Joe College trying to prove his manhood eating a dozen wings. And the rivalries I have no best no I have the best. Ugh. Just sets back our industry in the public's eye..

Thanks man. The last showing we had on the Travel Channel was just a tad bit better.

Hmmm, good question. I know the Travel Channel themselves couldn't make it for whatever reason at the last minute, so Jungle Jims gave them footage to use on the show last night. Not sure whay happened.
