Trinidad Scorpion Peach ripening question

I started a couple of Trinidad Scorpion Peach pepper plants in November '17. Just to have something to tend to, and I might've kept them in way too small pots for the first 6 months of their lives, but they recently hit the ground.
 
One of them started producing pods about 8 weeks ago, and I'm getting quite impatient with the ripening process.
 
I was wondering if anyone have any experience growing this plant, and might know when I can expect to pick my first ripe pod.
The first pod is no longer bright green, but more of a yellow'ish color, and I'm starting to question if it's ripe already.

Ive never specifically grown trinidad scorpion peach(lots of new varieties-whew) but morugas etc take an extremely long time to ripen... were talking weeks so its not unusual. I cant tell you what color its supposed to be as Ive not grown them. Just wait on the first one until it is for sure the same color a week or so. Then youll know and you can pick the others when they get that color right away?
Sometimes I just leave the first of a new strain on until it starts to soften justbto see what it will be for sure when its ripe. I pick the rest much sooner.

6-8 weeks seems pretty normal to me for Trinidad peach scorpions to ripen. Of course, the version I grow looks very different from the pods you have there. These are what the cultivar I grow looks like when ripe.
