Trinidad Scorpions Question

Just wondering what I am doing wrong... the plant on the left is a wonderful rich green and the plant on the right is yellow. Both received the same ferts and soil. The only difference is the left has some eggshells in it... could that be it??

Also my first peppers are coming in... how long do I have to wait until they are red and ready to be eaten?

"how long do I have to wait until they are red and ready to be eaten?"

i am kinda easy to satisfy, those look ready now for eating to me

the more you try green the better chances of finding just the right 'flavor'

remember the jalapeño pepper is normally sold and eaten green green

it is also yummy yum yum when red,

it may be there are some others YOU may like green green

(there is also opinion here that the more you pick the more the plant will set 'new' ones)

ph the soil in the pot.
that never hurts.
The egg shell also helps to stabilize the ph.
I get bushels of oysters once or twice a year.
I save the shells and crush them up and add it to soil mixes.
It does the same thing as eggshells

Leave the pods until they are a rich red, the full flavor of scorps comes out strong after they lose the light red color.

Agreeing with everyone else on the cal/mg and drainage. Spray it with some epsom salts a few times a week and they'll also enjoy that.

What does that do for them? Also, just plain ol' Epsom Salt?
epsom salts disolved in water. epsom salt is magnesium sulfate, the magnesium and sulfur are essential for photosythesis, the process by which plants turn sugars into chlorophyl the chemical which makes plants green :) :woohoo:

:) Nice C_Freak, I rate foliar feeding as high or higher than other methods. My scorp's seem to enjoy a good spray and get a nice deep green cover.

I mix up epsom salts, worm juice, lime(small amounts) and spray that but it will clog up your nice sprayer :(

So all I have to do is go to the grocery store/wal mart and find any box of Epsom salt?
