Trinidad Seasoning

From http://www.sandhillpreservation.com/catalog/eggplant_pepper_etc.html

" Trinidad Seasoning: 75 days. Habanero-type that is top-shaped, lime green turning yellow quickly. (Unavailable for 2009) "

*shakes finger at reader* Mind what I say, Trinidad Seasoning is disappearing just as this "new" variety Zavory is being introduced, a variety that looks a whole lot like a Trinidad Seasoning pepper.

I shall be comparing them this summer to blow the lid off this conspiracy.

There seems to be many different versions of the Tobago and Trinidad seasoning peppers going around. I've got at least 3 types of Trinidad seasoning, and they are all very different. It would be nice to obtain a true land-race variety or at least come up with a better way to identify each of these seperate varieties

Well, yeah, the nomenclature issue. That's one reason I'm so curious, is Zavory something new, or something old renamed? Was it renamed because of the confusion?

Inquiring blonds want to know.
