Tursusu Biber from Fords

Has anyone tried these and how hot were they?

The guy who is bringing me a couple Antep Aci Dolma seedlings is bringing over one of them too. They are most commonly pickled in Turkey.

I figured i would give one a shot. I haven't got my Super Chilis yet because they are so common. They might make a good replacement for a hot vinegar or just pickled. I normally just use the Supers for hot vinegar. Its a freebie so........

I was thinking pickled when I saw the pic. Lol. Might be tasty. Oh yeah, today is the day for the seedlings!

Not sure about the variety. Seems to be very little info on it online but I do like fords. He seems to really know his stuff when it come ls to turkish snd syrian varieties. I've spoken to him on the phone before. If I remember correctly, he had/has a source in syria where most of his original turkish and syrian variety seed stock came from so it shouldn't let you down as far as genetics go.

More like "sprout day" but at least i have them now. He brought over a quart of his honey too. I gave him half a quart of mild MOA yellow sauce. He actually owed me the honey from a previous trade.

Online ive found 2 varieties of tursusu. One is more like a sport pepper (longer). You can buy both pickled in jars at middle eastern markets. Im still waiting on Fords to get the Anteps back in. Its too late this year but it would be nice to have the seeds in hand. My Antep sprouts came from a seed source in Australia so there is no telling if they are as good as Fords.

Puckerbutt has some too but i will wait on Fords. The reviews ive found on his have all been really positive.
