Turtle Poop

I have a good size land tortoise, she eats nothing but greens, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage etc. This idea occurred to me yesterday as I fed her what if I used her poop in my tea brew? I was wondering if it would be good since its just plant matter? Let me know what you guys think.

Reptiles harbor Salmonella so I make sure you wash your hands and pods before eating.
Im not a big fan of poop Tea :P But it goes good in compost, witch then could go in to tea.

EDIT: All I can think of is Salmonella Tea  I would absolutely compost it first.

I assumed that the poop would go in some sort of compost first.

Yeah, you probably shouldn't eat it directly.

I will throw it the compost bin, its pretty dry and just looks like compost. Then I hope works i can add it with the guano when its ready.

I bet you could use it as a compost booster to. Mix up a bucket of turtle poo and water, then poor it on to the pile. Just an Idea

Sounds good, compost it like any herbivore poo. Mix it with some browns (dried leaves, hay, bark, etc.) and let the microbes do their thing.
