Two Different Peppers on the Same Plant? o_O

I've never seen this before. This is a Hot Paper Lantern and the peppers on one branch are turning Purple and the peppers on another are turning Red.
This is a plant I Wintered because it didn't do anything last year


Anyone know what's going on?

 

 
 
 
 
Here's the whole plant (and that's not a weed growing next to it, it's a Carrot. Yeah I dunno how it got there either)

     I think it's just suntan, my paper lanterns did it too. Maybe the branch with the purple pods gets more sunlight than the others?

The purple color is probably sunburn. It will eventually ripen to red like the others.

The first picture shows an unripe pepper that has suburn (purple coloration)... while the next pic shows one that is not sunburned, but is beginning to ripen red.

Okay, I'll just rotate the plant and it's nothng to worry about then?

You don't even need to rotate it. A little bit of darkening won't hurt anything.

yup, just suntan. nothing to worry about. No effort required. they will just be a little darker until they turn a normal shade of red.
