Hi all,
New member here looking for some help IDing the following two pickled Turkish varieties.
The first is commonly eaten with kebab and all manner of other meat dishes. It's referred to as "süs biber tursusu" which as far as I'm aware translates to "pickled ornamental peppers". The peppers themselves are no longer than 3 inches or so in length and are always a pale yellow color, never green or red (see second pic). I'm told that the peppers have an upright growth habit while on the plant, as opposed to hanging downward.
The second variety is referred to as "biberiye tursusu". Note that biberiye is the Turkish word for rosemary...not sure why it's used to refer to these peppers. These are very stubby, short (less than 3/4 inch) peppers.
Thanks for any help anyone may be able to offer. These pickled peppers are delicious, and I'd love to have them in my garden this year.
