breeding unintentional cross

So I have red habaneros and yellow scotch bonnets, which have been doing well all year. Today, I went to pick what is ripe, and I noticed some bonnets on a plant that was yellow, but now they are red like the habs that grew along-side.  Thinking there was some monkey-business here, or just a divine plan.  Pics are red Habs, yellow Bonnets, and the love children??

Might have to do with change in temps. Crosses only happen in the seeds of a crossed plant.

So for example you have a bhut next to a scorpion. The scorpion pollinates the bhut. The pods are still bhut. But the seeds inside that pod, when grown out, will be crossed.

Looking closer at these peppers, and tasting them, they are definitely not habaneros.  since I grew this and several others all from seed from store-bought batches, I am considering that they may be a legitimate and a regressive trait.  Seeding them out to see what happens.  In any case, bust more happy bonnets...and please keep it reasonably clean...
