uploading video

i am having problems and cant find a good tread to help me.I am computer unworthy and need my hand held.I am using handbreak to reduce the file but when i try to upload it wont let me?

Ive never even heard of "handbreak' so that shows you where i am in my journey.  Only way I know how to do a video is through you tube.

It's actually called HandBrake and it is a utility to convert a video from one format to another.  It can also do video capture.

On the subject of uploading.  I don't believe that is possible here.  You have to first upload it to a video hosting site, such as Youtube, then you can paste the link for the video in a post and it will automatically show up as a viewable video.

yeah handbrake is free video encoder. 
so we can compress and convert video formats.
Most raw video taken with camera is very big, like anything over a few minutes starts getting 1gig or more. But internet connections people have are usually only like 1 mb/s upload so that would take forever. So we compress the video to instead of being a gig to be like 100mb. which is more manageable.

Do video clips have to be hosted by a third party, or can I upload them directly to THP as an Extreme member?
